Abstract
The application of the ijtihadi method in the field of ethics has been proposed by researchers in various forms. However, due to its relatively unknown nature or doubts regarding its efficacy, it has not yet become the dominant methodological approach in this discipline. This study aims to identify the capacities and advantages of the ijtihadi method in Islamic ethics for "theorization" and "knowledge management" – in line with the general policies outlined by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. By employing descriptive and inferential analytical methods, and after elucidating the nature of "ethics" and the "ijtihadi method in ethics," it was demonstrated that the ijtihadi method is: "in harmony with the Quran and Sunnah," "comprehensive and profound," "valid and religiously authoritative," "compatible with jurisprudence and law," "authentic and flexible," "capable of resolving ethical conflicts," "reason-oriented," "decisive in foundational studies," and "conducive to the promotion of ethics based on divine standards."The findings suggest that the "ijtihadi method in Islamic ethics" can be regarded as a "standard method" in Islamic ethical studies and can facilitate macro-knowledge management through methodological governance..
