Abstract

Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) have transformed various aspects of human life, yet the increasing autonomy of AI in decision-making raises significant ethical concerns about its societal and individual impacts, particularly in the realms of design and interaction. This study employs a descriptive-analytical method to explore the relationship between ethics and AI, focusing on the level of "ethics by design," which pertains to the integration of ethical theories into the design and implementation of AI systems. Drawing on the ethical perspective of Allama Misbah Yazdi, characterized by distinct principles, this research situates his views within the framework of "reflective equilibrium" and adopts an "integrative" approach to "ethics by design" among prevailing methodologies. Grounded in the principle of "divine proximity-oriented teleology," Misbah’s ethical system advocates using ethics by design as a tool to enhance human morality and achieve ultimate perfection. Accordingly, AI ethics should be formulated based on a "teleology that fosters perfection."
