The metaverse, as a pervasive technology and the next generation of the internet, has created a three-dimensional space for users by combining virtual, augmented, and mixed reality, where individuals interact, work, shop, and have fun through their avatars. This emerging technology, by utilizing advanced sensors on virtual reality headsets and wristbands, has collected an unprecedented and massive volume of sensitive user data in a short period of time, often gathered without the user's informed consent, transparency, or awareness of its quantity and quality. However, due to the lack of strong governance structures, this information is sold to the brokerage industry, exposed to theft by hackers, and misused for fraud, behavioral profiling, and targeted advertising. This study, using an analytical method and relying on Islamic thought, seeks to prevent privacy violations in the metaverse. The findings show that the inherent dignity of the human being, trust (amanah), concealment of secrets, prohibition of spying, and the sanctity of entering another's privacy can all be extended to the metaverse space. Therefore, offering practical solutions in areas such as; technology design in governance, classification of sensitive data, special protection for children and unaware individuals, establishment of an independent supervisory body, legislation, and user education shows that Islamic thought is not only not an obstacle to the development of the metaverse, but is also a preventive and efficient framework for design, oversight, and ethical living in the metaverse.
