What is important for consequentialists in normative ethics is the realization of good and the result of moral actions. What is meant by good here is intrinsic good and not instrumental good; It means the good that all good things become good because they lead to it. At the same time, the consequentialists differ in terms of determining the example of good nature. John Stuart Mill's utilitarianism is one of the most important consequentialist theories, which exemplifies intrinsic good as "pleasure" and freedom from pain, and considers the work that brings the most good to the most people as moral. On the other hand, in the Islamic tradition, "beneficence" has the capacity to be compared with the intrinsic good of utilitarians; Because, on the one hand, it is the main way to determine the goodness and badness of verbs, and on the other hand, in its case study in the rationalist theological school of Baghdad, despite many differences, commonalities with utilitarianism can be found. In this comparison, which was done with a descriptive-analytical method, the result was obtained that the example of intrinsic goodness and ultimate expediency is "pleasure" and "pain", but the explanation.
