Research ethics refers to a set of ethical principles and guidelines that must be adhered to during the process of conducting, developing, and publishing scientific research. These principles include having sufficient knowledge in the research field, proper use of resources, adherence to citations, and acknowledging the contributions of participants in the research. However, researchers often face numerous ethical challenges, including plagiarism, data misuse, privacy preservation, and the need for transparency and accountability. These challenges require precise ethical solutions to maintain the quality and innovation in research and prevent potential abuses. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into the research domain has further complicated these challenges. Given AI's ability to process vast amounts of data, adhering to ethical frameworks in scientific research is of paramount importance. This article examines the ethical challenges of using AI-based tools in scientific research. While AI has positive impacts on scientific advancement, it also introduces ethical challenges such as breaches of integrity, privacy violations, and plagiarism. To mitigate these challenges, increasing researchers' awareness and developing AI tools to identify the authenticity of texts are essential.
