Islamic ethical living requires a meticulous examination of its theoretical and practical foundations to ensure it provides human and ethically responsive answers to contemporary challenges. The aim of this article is to synthesize and analyze the foundations of Islamic bioethics based on the Quran, Sunnah, and the analysis of the viewpoints of some contemporary Islamic moral thinkers. Accordingly, this qualitative and comparative study, employing thematic analysis, extracts fundamental themes from primary sources and the perspectives of contemporary Islamic ethicists, and analyzes them. The findings reveal that God-centeredness, rationality, the innate and universal nature of ethics, the primacy of the soul, free will, dignity, divine intention, love, the perpetuity of morals, the systematic interconnectedness of ethical dimensions, gradual moral education, ethics as a path to divine proximity, the influence of divine and satanic forces on ethical living, and the awareness of the soul's potential tarnish are the most important foundations of Islamic ethical living. These were ultimately modeled within an epistemological, ontological, cosmological, and anthropological framework. Furthermore, within the proposed model, the ethical foundations were presented by analyzing the three realms of insight, inclination, and behavior, and categorizing them accordingly. This demonstrates the theoretical and practical interconnectedness of the foundations, as well as their comprehensiveness, dynamism, and adaptability in ethical living.
