Despite the significance of the principle of concealment of spiritual secrets in the ethical framework of the Quran, and particularly in the ethics of servitude, this issue has received limited scholarly attention. This article, employing a descriptive-analytical methodology, aims to elucidate the Quranic perspective on the ethical ruling of concealing or disclosing spiritual secrets. The central contention of this paper is that the concealment of spiritual secrets is an accepted, permissible, and obligatory principle. To substantiate this claim, in addition to specific evidence, the article also references certain general principles derived from Quranic verses and Islamic traditions. Furthermore, drawing on Quranic verses, the paper highlights the most significant exceptions to this principle. Additionally, the study catalogues the benefits and expediencies of concealing spiritual secrets, such as safeguarding against envy and malevolence of others and preserving life. It also briefly alludes to some critical challenges and apparent contradictions in this regard, and provides a novel, analytical explication of the key aspects of this issue, adopting a Quranic and ethical approach.
