As ethical issues grow increasingly complex in today's world, the need for accurate and effective ethical counseling is more critical than ever. AI-based chatbots, with their unique capabilities, offer significant potential for providing guidance to resolve moral dilemmas and enhance societal ethical standards. This paper draws upon existing literature on artificial intelligence and ethical counseling to examine the opportunities and challenges of employing AI in ethical advisory contexts. It also offers strategies for the responsible use of this technology. The findings indicate that AI provides several advantages, including improved accuracy and efficiency, real-time and location-flexible access to counseling, service personalization, and the development of innovative tools. Nevertheless, this application presents ethical concerns such as algorithmic bias, lack of accountability, insensitivity to ethical nuances, and potential misuse of data. Addressing these challenges requires the development of ethical frameworks, increased transparency, effective oversight, public education, and stakeholder involvement. At present, full reliance on AI-generated ethical counseling is unjustified. While AI can serve as a supportive tool in the counseling process, final moral decisions should remain the responsibility of human agents.
